Dennise Jones has been a Fitness Professional since 2006. Having struggled with a family history of obesity, and a professional life that was both busy and stressful, what started as an attempt to lose weight (formerly 240lbs and 42% body fat) and get healthy, soon turned into a passion for helping other women to overcome the obstacles – and the excuses – to finding fitness in their own busy lives.
Since earning certifications in Personal Training, Group Fitness, and Sports Nutrition, Ms. Jones has worked professionally for various South Jersey fitness clubs such as Healthtrax, Bodies in Motion, and Future Fitness. Formerly a Training Director, Ms. Jones launched her small business, DenniseJonesFitness, in 2011 to provide Personal Fitness Training and Lifestyle Coaching to women and men, as well as fitness programs and services to various groups and organizations.
Ms. Jones has developed Fitness programs for the City of Camden Office on Aging, facilitated fitness seminars for the Glassboro Public Library, is the creator of Empower! a faith-based fitness program, and still teaches group fitness for Future Fitness Centers, in the Mullica Hill location. She also specializes in helping people with special needs and/or physical limitations. Her mission is to help people incorporate the true meaning of fitness into their busy lives, and to realize that fitness is measured not by the scale, but by the lifestyle.
“I believe there’s an athlete in all of us; we’re just running different races at different paces. Whatever your fitness goal, doing your personal best consistently is the key to living a healthy lifestyle.”
